Vijay’s Political Test Begins With TN Elections

Polling for the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2026 began this morning across the state.

A major highlight is actor Vijay entering politics with his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam and challenging both the ruling DMK alliance and the opposition AIADMK-led NDA.

Many Tamil film celebrities came out early to vote. Ajith Kumar was among the first arriving at the polling booth even before 7 AM. Rajinikanth also cast his vote.

Vijay who is contesting from two constituencies, voted near his residence in Chennai.

Other well-known personalities like Kamal Haasan, Shruti Haasan, Sivakarthikeyan, Trisha, Vikram, Dhanush, Mani Ratnam, Suhasini, Anirudh Ravichander and Khushbu Sundar also participated in the voting process without fail.
